About the Role
As the Deputy Head of Property, you will work closely with the Head of Property and Facilities to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and development of the estate. This is a varied role that includes managing estates maintenance, overseeing construction projects, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Estate Maintenance, Repair, and Restoration: Inspecting and monitoring the quality of maintenance work, managing contractors, and assisting in long-term asset protection planning.
- Project Management: Supporting large-scale construction and refurbishment projects while independently managing smaller projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring all work complies with regulations and assisting in the development of site procedures and policies.
- Technical Expertise: Applying your practical knowledge to maintain high standards across the estate while continuously improving service delivery.
About You
Our client is looking for a proactive, organised, and solutions-focused individual who can bring technical expertise and strong communication skills to this role.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- Proven experience overseeing a variety of projects, including major capital and refurbishment works.
- Experience coordinating tradespeople and contractors on-site.
- Strong working knowledge of building works and maintenance processes.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Formal engineering qualification (HND level or above).
- Membership in a professional body (CIBSE, CIOB, RICS).
- Experience managing scheduled maintenance, including mechanical and engineering works.
- Familiarity with commercial, cultural, or leisure venues.
