This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance, restoration, and development of an iconic estate.
The Role:
As the Clerk of Works, you’ll support the Head of Property and Facilities, ensuring that the physical estate operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. This role will see you involved in various exciting projects, from estates maintenance to construction project management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing estate maintenance, repair, and restoration to ensure work is carried out to the highest standards
• Assisting with major projects alongside the Property & Facilities team and managing smaller projects independently
• Coordinating and supervising tradespeople and contractors to ensure tasks are completed within the agreed timeframes and budgets
• Developing and maintaining effective procedures and policies to ensure compliance with site rules, regulations, and health & safety requirements
What We’re Looking For:
• A formal health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent
• Experience overseeing a variety of projects, including major capital or refurbishment projects
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and present information clearly to a range of stakeholders
• Organised and disciplined approach, with effective decision-making skills and a problem-solving mindset
Desirable Skills:
• Formal engineering qualification at HND level or above
• Professional qualifications such as CIBSE, CIOB, or RICS
• Experience in managing scheduled building maintenance, including mechanical and engineering aspects
• Previous experience in a commercial, cultural, arts, entertainment, or leisure venue
