Are you a proactive and experienced leader ready to take on a challenging role in operations management? We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of critical services such as cleaning, security, reception, and service desk operations at a prestigious property.
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of contracted staff and provide high-quality service to occupiers. This is a dynamic position that requires a customer-focused approach, with responsibilities that include:
• Managing the day-to-day delivery of services like cleaning, security, and reception.
• Chairing contractor performance reviews and tenant meetings.
• Leading the Service Desk, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Building strong relationships with tenants, understanding their business needs.
• Supporting the delivery of health and safety compliance, fire drills, and small works projects.
• Assisting in financial tasks, including monitoring service charge budgets and managing contracts.
About You:
You’ll bring strong experience from a soft services environment, ideally with supervisory experience. Your qualifications should include:
• NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Customer service experience, with a background in managing contracted services.
• Familiarity with service charge budgets and financial processes.
Desirable Skills:
• Membership of the IWFM.
• Experience in procurement and tendering processes.
• Multi-let property management experience.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
