Sony DADC is a leader in providing innovative supply chain solutions for the entertainment, education, and information industries. The NMS unit specifically supports blue-chip clients like EMI, BBC, Netflix, Sony Music, and Sony Pictures, offering a range of digital services, including creative, supply chain, and digital media management.

The Challenge

Sony DADC needed an experienced Facilities and Procurement Manager who could ensure the efficient operation of their sites, optimise costs, and maintain a safe and productive work environment. The role demanded someone with a strong background in facilities management, budget oversight, health and safety compliance, and the ability to manage multiple site services and contractors. The ideal candidate would also need to navigate the complexities of a dynamic office environment while supporting Sony’s high standards of operational excellence.

Responsibilities of role:

• Office Management: Ensured optimal office layout, managed supplies, and oversaw the security system, including the issuance of security cards.

• Facilities Management: Supervised daily operations, including cleaning, reception, security, and maintenance. Managed contractors and ensured all site services complied with legal and health & safety regulations.

• Strategic Planning: Provided strategic input in senior management meetings, conducted audits, and managed a budget of up to £500k to optimise service delivery and cost efficiency.

• Health & Safety Leadership: Chaired health and safety meetings, led fire prevention initiatives, and ensured compliance with company policies.

• Stakeholder Management: Developed professional relationships with internal teams, contractors, and senior management, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals.
