Capita's Facilities Management (FM) team plays a crucial role in delivering strategic advice and managing the day-to-day operations of both individual properties and large-scale portfolios. Their tailored approach ensures cost management, service quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations, providing clients with a reliable, high-quality service.
The Challenge
Capita sought a highly skilled Building Manager to join their regional FM team, with the primary goal of maintaining the smooth operation of one or more properties. This role required a professional who could effectively manage the day-to-day relationship with building occupants, oversee the FM supply chain, and support clients in retaining tenants while safeguarding the value of their property assets.
The ideal candidate needed to possess strong technical knowledge of buildings and their systems, experience in managing FM budgets and contractors, and a deep understanding of health and safety legislation. Additionally, Capita required someone with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
